To notify the Department of Health of suspected outbreaks within residential care facilities, educational settings or workplaces:
- Call the Department of Health on 1300 651 160
- Select option #1 to notify an urgent disease, an outbreak or public health event
- Enter the facility postcode when prompted to be directed to the relevant Local Public Health Unit
